Simpsons & Prohibition

The producers of the Simpsons did an excellent job of portraying what it was like to be in a period of prohibition. The accuracies definetly outweighed the fictional comedy of the show. for example some of the accuracies were fighting, cops at speakeasies, chaos, gangsters, paying off the cops, bringing in new police force. All of these things happened in the 1920s. There were some fictional aspects of the show suck as filling bowling balls with alcohal and sending it to speakeasies through a series of pipes, and catapulting people that broke the law. I really enjoyed this episode because the put in a lot of facts and they made it really funny.

One thing i might do to make this episode more historically accurate would be to make a group of gangsters rather than just one. Have one main gangster (Al Capone), but have followers of his.
